Director of Engineering

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Director who can create a high performing leadership team across multiple squads, who is comfortable with managing stakeholders with competing priorities, and who is experienced with building software products and platforms for internal & external customers.

Key Responsibilities

Priorities can change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

• You will have the opportunity to set and drive the future technical direction of HundredX Engineering strategy
• Collaborate with our product management team to craft plans that achieve our business goals while scaling the platform to match the growth of the business
• Together with product managers, design and execute a roadmap. Collaborate with our stakeholders across product, engineering, analytics, data science, customer solutions, to ensure that our products & platform meets our customers’ needs
• Drive continual improvements for reliability, performance, scalability, and quality of our products.
• Build and mentor a world class team and invest into the growth of our engineering team
• Hire and retain great engineers who are excited about the future of the company
• In this role, you’ll be managing a team of 12-15 that are collectively responsible for HundredX’s Data Engineering platform, data collection, and analytics app platform
• Under your leadership, the team will be responsible for improving the developer experience, and integrating with our machine learning platform for a cohesive experience
  

Qualifications

• Extensive technical background with hands-on experience building and shipping digital products in IC and management roles
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to liaise between technical and business units
• Strong SQL and/or Java or equivalent skills
• Demonstrated success in attracting, managing, and developing stellar technical talent
• 10 or more years of experience in the software design and development life cycle
• 5 or more years of team building and people management experience
• 5 or more years of hands-on experience and deep expertise in architecting and building products/platforms using popular public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience and familiarity with client-side technologies as well as 3rd party products and platforms that can be integrated to rapidly build the platform
  

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of financial markets and investment strategies, with experience developing products for Data Product, or SaaS business
• Exemplifies multidimensional skill sets - data engineering, experimentation, software development, etc
• Familiarity with modern data science and product analytics tools and techniques
• Experience with AI/machine learning operations
